Question

While reviewing the latest ALS update 4.9, I noted on page 4 under "Consent to treatment in Non-emergency situations" The last paragraph states that, If a patient is unable to consent and paramedics are aware or once paramedics are made aware of that pt having had a prior capable wish with respect to treatment, paramedic must respect such wish. It is followed by an example "if the person does not wish to be resuscitated"Does this now mean EMS is allowed to withhold Resuscitation as per the families' wish (as they had prior discussion with pt about end of life care) with NO DNR present and without a patch point to BHP for a "withhold resuscitation order"
